What We Collect: When you send us a message, we collect the name, e-mail address and message you provide. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect only the e-mail address you provide. Separately, as on every visit, the site's server writes the IP address of each request to its technical logs.

Why We Process It: We use your contact-form data solely to respond to your message, and your newsletter e-mail address solely to send you the newsletter you subscribed to. In both cases the legal basis is the explicit consent you give when submitting the form or ticking the subscribe box.

Cookies & Google Analytics: Separately from the data above, this site uses cookies. Essential cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be declined. Google Analytics (GA4) cookies are optional and only load if you accept them in this site's cookie consent notice; they collect anonymised page-view, interaction and error data and no personally identifiable information is sent to Google.

Sharing and Service Providers: We do not sell your data, do not combine it with data from other sources, and do not use it for any commercial or advertising purpose. The site and its data are hosted on Google's Firebase and Google Cloud services, on servers in the European Union (Belgium and the Netherlands), and contact-form submissions reach the site owner by e-mail through Gmail. Google processes this data on our behalf, solely to provide those services. Nobody else receives your data.

Retention: A message you send through the contact form, and a newsletter subscription, is kept in the database for 30 days and then deleted automatically. The e-mail notification the site owner receives is kept until your request is resolved, or for a subscription, for as long as you remain subscribed. Weekly backups of the database are kept for 180 days from the day they are taken and then deleted automatically, so a message can remain in a backup for up to about 210 days after it was sent. A backup cannot be edited entry by entry, so a message cannot be removed from one separately; it is deleted with the backup when that expires. The server's technical logs, IP addresses included, are kept for 30 days.

Access and Security: Only the system administrator (Murat Demir) can access this data, the e-mail notifications and the backups. The database's security rules let visitors send a message but never read one. Google's infrastructure encrypts the data both in transit and at rest.

Your Rights: Under applicable data protection law — including Turkey's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and, where relevant, the GDPR — you have the right to learn whether we process your data, request a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. If you ask for deletion, we delete your message from the database and the mailbox at once; a copy left in a backup is deleted when that backup expires, as described above. By subscribing, you agree that we will store the e-mail address you provide and use it only to send you this newsletter.

We do not share your e-mail address with third parties or use it for any other purpose. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every newsletter e-mail, or by contacting us through the form on this page.
